ANALISIS KEMAS ULANG INFORMASI PADA LAYANAN DIFABEL CORNER DI PERPUSTAKAAN UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA

This study responds to the increasing needs of persons with disabilities in the current digital era due to difficulties in accessing and obtaining information. Limitations and abilities possessed by persons with disabilities as special needs users fcilited by the library with their special repackaging information in their Difabel Corner to be able to provide equal services for general users and special needs users. This research uses mixed methods, qualitative descriptive method and quantitative descriptive method. Qualitative descriptive method is to answer problem formulation related to the process of repackaging information with data obtained through interviews, observations and documents. Quantitative descriptive method is to answer the formulation of the problem relating to the percentage of collections that have been repackaged with data obtained by using descriptive statistical methods. Qualitative data validation test uses Expert Judgment. While the quantitative data validation test uses non-test with the institution's note instrument which is obtained directly from the website at difarepositories.uin-suka.ac.id. The results showed that in the repackaging of information at the Sunan Kalijaga UIN Library had been carried out with the form of media transfer, namely digitizing printed collections in the library. This collection can be accessed through difarepositories.uin-suka.ac.id/ and supported by tools adaptive for people with disabilities. But the percentage of information repackaging is still small, at only 0.478%. In addition, it is only intended for the visually impaired, whereas other disabled persons have not been facilitated by repackaging information in accordance with the limitations in the library.
